Some of the spectacular landscapes that we long to visit today are actually testaments to the raw power of Mother Earth. 22 April, is a day celebrated in her honor and is a remarkable opportunity to reflect upon our own actions and to ask ourselves if we are really taking care of Earth.
Volcanoes being a natural phenomenon are mostly associated with catastrophic events,however, they can also contribute to new creations and beauty. Greece is in fact home to several active volcanoes, – Thira, Santorini being the most famous of all. These dramatic landscapes are wonderful hiking destinations, and offer visitors a fantastic opportunity to witness beauty at every step.
